The Outdoor Waterslides are unavailable for use due to being closed for maintenance.

WIBIT is the giant floating inflatable obstacle course made up of different modules for balancing, climbing, jumping and sliding.

Children must be at least six years of age and competent swimmers - the session occurs in is 3-metre deep water, A parent or guardian may be required to accompany children onto WIBIT depending on the child’s ability/mobility, at the discretion of supervisor.

WIBIT sessions are one-hour in duration, commencing on the hour. This booking also includes entry into the leisure pool. Please view our Leisure Swimming availability guide.

  • Watch Around Water policy

    At SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre and the Y we are a Watch Around Water endorsed aquatic safety organisation. The following information is the new watch around water policy launched in centre from 1 September 2019.

    Watch Around Water is a set of industry guidelines outlining the minimum supervision requirements of young children at all affiliated aquatic venues. 

    Children under 5 years old

    All children MUST be accompanied into the centre by a person 16 years and older and supervised within arms’ reach, at all times in the water.

    All children MUST wear a pink wristband supplied by YMCA staff to help identify their age while swimming.

    Children will not be admitted without a full fee paying parent/guardian who must also be in the water at all times. Groups will not be admitted entry where the number of parents/guardians supervising a group of children under 5 years exceeds the ratio of 1:2 (effective 1 September 2019).

    Children under 10 years old

    All children under the age of 10 MUST be accompanied into the centre by a person 16 years and older. All children MUST be actively supervised by an adult over the age of 16 at all times. The adult must have a clear and active view of the child with no physical or structural barriers between them (this includes tech and devices).

    A child of limited swimming ability and or reliant on a flotation aid much be accompanied and in arms' reach in the water by a responsible person 16 years and older regardless of the child's age.

    All children MUST wear a yellow wristband supplied by YMCA staff to help identify their age while swimming. Groups will not be admitted entry where the number of parents/guardians supervising a group of children under 10 years exceeds the ratio of 1:4.

    All children

    Unsupervised children (of any age) will be removed from the water if the lifeguard is concerned for their safety.

    A child of limited swimming ability and or reliant on a flotation aid much be accompaniedand in arms' reach in the water by a responsible person 16 years and older regardless of the child's age.

    Birthday parties

    All children under the age of 10 MUST be accompanied into the centre by a person 16 years and older and handed over to the supervision of the birthday party host (staff member).

    All birthday party participants must wear a green wristband to identify their participation in a party AND will be given an age based wristband (pink or yellow) at the conclusion of their birthday party if they choose to use the aquatic facilities (effective 1 September 2019). The adult guardian of the birthday party child MUST remain accessible and actively supervise the group at all times.

    At the conclusion of the birthday party the child/children will remain in the supervision of the birthday party leader and supervising parent until physically handed over to their supervising parent/guardian.

Parties and groups

Private & self-catered parties are not permitted. Groups with four or more children will be required to read and complete terms and conditions form at the front desk on arrival.

    All online bookings require an online customer portal account

    Creating an account

    If you haven’t visited us before, or do not have an existing account with us, please visit the online customer portal.

    Select 'Join or book now' and follow the prompts to complete your (the parent/guardian) details.

    Not sure if you have an account?

    1. Upon using the timetable to book, the online customer portal will load.
    2. Select 'Forgot password'. A new page will load
    3. Type in your email
    4. Select 'Submit'
    5. If you have an account, you will receive a email to reset your password.
    6. If you do not have an account, a message will load stating 'Email address not found'.
    7. If your email address was not found this means there is no associated account to the email you entered. Existing members or multi-visit pass holders should contact the Centre to check their email address, if this occurs.
    8. If you are neither a member or multi-visit pass holder, please proceed back to the login screen and select 'Join or book now' and follow the prompts.

    How to Book

    Existing Gym & Swim members, Swimming Lessons Members, Multi Visit pass holders or those that have already created an online account will not need to create an online customer portal account. However, you may need to add a child if you haven't already.

    If the person you are trying to book account already exists (eg your child who is already in Swimming Lessons), or if you have already added a family member, please skip to step 2.

      • Navigate to 'Friends and family'
      • Select 'Add family member'
      • Select 'Casual bookings'
      • Select 'Next'
      • Select 'Create a Free Guest Account'
      • Select 'Next'
      • Complete the child's details
      • Select 'Next'
    2. Book
      • Navigate to 'Book'
      • Navigate to 'Group Fitness / Lap and Leisure Swimming'
      • From the 'Filter by category' drop-down, select 'Wibit'
      • Select the date you are interested in
      • Select 'book now' in the time you are interested in
      • Select 'book now' for the person you are trying to book
    3. Make Payment (casuals only)
      • Pay for a single session via credit/debit card.

    Credit/debit card

    1. Enter your credit/debit card details.
    2. Make payment.
    3. You will receive an email confirming booking.
  • How to manage your booking (cancel booking)
    1. Login
      • Use your email and password.
    2. Cancel booking
      • Navigate to “My Bookings”
      • Select "Cancel Booking"

    Casuals/multi-visits: Cancellations made no later than 30-minutes before your booking will result in a credit being added to your online customer account.

    Credits can be found by navigating to 'Shop' and then 'My purchases'.

    Bookings cannot be cancelled after your booking or less than 30-minutes prior and are not allocated a credit.


  • Conditions of use

    Session and booking information

    • Bookings open five-days in advance. Availability is updated for up to five days in advance. Availability post five-days is not reflective of true expected availability. 
    • Please arrive at the front desk 15-minutes prior to your session commencing to allow time for check-in, life jacket fitting, and to be directed to the WIBIT.
    • Please arrive ready to swim in bathers.
    • The session is 60-minutes and commences on the hour. Lifeguards will provide instructions when it is time to exit the pool, prepare to exit the Centre and collect your belongings. Patrons must depart the pool prior to the next hour commencing.
    • Life-jackets are essential and are provided.
    • Minimum age: 6 years
    • 6 & 7 years olds may require a supporting parent/guardian accompany them on Wibit.

    Safety

    • Wibit sessions are a held in minimum depth of 3-metres. The patron is responsible for ensuring they are confident of their swimming ability in a deep-water environment.
    • Vulnerable and elderly people with chronic health conditions should speak to their doctor about what is appropriate for them. Please speak to a lifeguard before entering the water if:
      1. you are over the age of 55;
      2. you have a pre-exiting medical condition (including disability); or
      3. you are a inexperienced or non-swimmer.
