SA Aquatic Exercise Physiology newly formed partnership!

SAALC Exercise Physiologist Louise has established an Exercise Physiology Program for Henley High School's Specialist Sports athletes that aims to enhance athletic development and performance excellence in human movement and physical activity.

It also focuses on developing the athletes’ understanding of how, why and when to move, managing attitudes and emotions around participation in sport, and the social skills to be active with others. These sessions include elements of strength and conditioning and education about movement preparation, recovery, reducing injury risk and injury management and fitness components relevant to their specific sport. Louise currently runs the Exercise Physiology Program weekly for their Basketball athletes with the assistance of UniSA Exercise Science students.

Across the next 10 months, this Exercise Physiology Program will also be carried out with athletes from their Golf, Swimming, Surf Life Saving and Netball Specialist Sports Programs.
